Yes, that's the reason why we need a web hosting service...
It's the breath and life of your domain name (that's how I see it...lol).
You need a web hosting service to finally broadcast or send your website to the internet universe.
Choosing a web hosting service is quite a daunting task...especially if you have specific purposes and you want to have the best services as much as possible.
And of course, if you want to have the best service to offer your readers for your website.
If you want to skip all the step by step tutorial in this blog posts you can directly watch the video below...
Note: If you want to have an idea about WordPress setup after having your web hosting service purchased - check out The Best WP-Website Setup: How To Do WordPress Setup For Beginners
Here's a text version of the video tutorial:
(if you're having trouble with the video above...)
Next, you need to choose a pricing plan by going to the web hosting or wordpress services tab
(I recommend you choose StartUp if you don't plan to have several websites)
Step 1 is Choose Plan and the next step is to choose a domain...
(if you still don't have a domain name - click here to learn how to buy a domain name using a Namecheap...)
Just remember if you already have a domain just choose "I already have a Domain" or you can register a new domain in SiteGround - you can also follow the steps here.
Here is an image if you choose "Register a New Domain"
Step 3 is the Review & Complete section wherein you just need to fill out the forms and field of your account payment details.
In this section above you'll see the "Purchase Information" wherein you can choose the Period of payment for your hosting services.
The longer period doesn't really equate to paying less.
You do have other options to add extra services (but I skip most of them)...
Don't forget to tick the confirm box after finalizing and completing the required fields.
Congrats, you are now a SiteGround client! 🙂
You're now going to receive emails regarding your login information and other important account details.
Don't forget to keep the email in a separate folder or add a tag if you are using Gmail.
Now it's time to change your DNS server by going to your email account you'll see your DNS server names.
You need to update your DNS because you want your hosting provider and domain registrar to communicate with each other.
In this example, go to your Namecheap account.
Click "Manage" and you'll have the option to change or add custom nameservers to your domain name.
The image below shows you the Custom DNS add it there and click the check mark to save.
There you have it - you can wait for a couple of hours and your website is now live!:)
